No. Participants are not allowed to register multiple times at different centers.
The Spelling Bee consists of three main stages:
Yes. All registered participants who join the competition will receive an official participation certificate. Winners will receive winner certificates, and additional prizes may vary depending on each organizing center’s policy.
Both British and American spellings are accepted. The competition uses the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English as the primary reference.
The competition is open to Elementary School (SD) and Junior High School (SMP) students (or equivalent) from across Indonesia. Each category has its own age and grade requirements based on the official competition guidelines. Participants must be Indonesian citizens and provide a birth certificate or passport as proof of identity.
Participants will go through the following stages:
Travel and accommodation costs for the National Competition are not covered by English 1.
All expenses related to transportation, lodging, and personal needs are the responsibility of the participant and/or their accompanying parent(s).
English 1 will provide recommended accommodation options and the event schedule to help participants plan their trip.
English 1 recommends a three-day stay, as follows:
