Yes. All registered participants who join the competition will receive an official participation certificate. Winners will receive winner certificates, and additional prizes may vary depending on each organizing center’s policy.
Both British and American spellings are accepted. The competition uses the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English as the primary reference.
The competition is open to Elementary School (SD) and Junior High School (SMP) students (or equivalent) from across Indonesia. Participants who arrive late are still allowed to join the competition. However, there will be no repetition of any words missed due to tardiness.
Participants may present proof of participation, state their full name, and show an official ID (such as a student card or similar) to the committee at the registration desk for verification and on-site re-registration.
All participating children will be inside the Balai Sarbini competition hall. They will remain separate from their parents/guardians during their competition time to ensure concentration and compliance with the rules.

Winners of the 18th National Spelling Bee will receive prizes and official recognition from English 1 Indonesia, as well as from partners supporting the organization of this national competition.
In addition, winners are also eligible to register their competition certificates in the Puspresnas (National Achievement Center) system under the Ministry of Education.
The English 1 Indonesia team will assist with the registration of the 18th National Spelling Bee results into the Puspresnas (National Achievement Center) system under the Directorate General of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen).Only certificates belonging to winners and the top 10 national finalists will be eligible for registration and nationally recognized.
Participants may also independently register their certificates through their respective schools via the Kurasi Prestasi Talenta platform under Kemendikdasmen.
